Afinity Series Multiroom control

Living Control’s Afinity Series MusicBox3 is a digital server. It will allow users to store over 2650 hours of music on a built-in 160Gb hard disk, and will facilitate playback of up to 3 independent streams of music simultaneously.

Living Control’s Afinity Series RoomBox4 and RoomBox6 are the digital multi-room distribution systems, custom made for the MusicBox3 server. They will deliver music from six sources to four or six rooms in the home. All the potential of DAB radio, DVD, MP3, digital TV, CD and Living Control’s MusicBox3 is available at the touch of a keypad/screen in any room in high fidelity.

Living Control’s Afinity RoomBox6VX will allow you to switch any video channel to the room you’re in using the same in-room keypad/screen. Now you can enjoy pictures and sound all around the house.

Coming soon: wireless control of your Living Control system. You can use a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) or a Web Pad to control your entire Living Control multi-room system via the Afinity NetBox wireless control interface.

This is how it works together:

Simply upload all your CDs, or download music from the Internet onto the hard drive of the MusicBox3. Its advanced technology records and stores content simultaneously so that you can store and entire CD in as little as four minutes! Then you can store your CDs in the attic.

Through the RoomBox4 or 6 digital multi-room system, you can select the tracks you want to listen to in any room by name using Living Control’s discreet wall-mounted VideoPads (RoomBox6 only) or DisplayPads in each room - or use a PDA or Web Pad through the upcoming NetBox wireless interface. Playback is instantaneous; there’s no need to wait for a CD to load.

Listen to DAB radio, DVD, MP3, cable/satellite TV, or Living Control’s MusicBox content anywhere in the home. Or view TV or video through the RoomBox6VX.

Mum, Dad and the kids can listen to three different tracks stored on the MusicBox3 in three different rooms simultaneously.

The soon to be released NetBox wireless interface will let them surf the Net or control the system in any room.

RoomBox6

RoomBox6 is a digital multi-room distribution system, custom made for the Music Box server. RoomBox6VX

Sporting the stylish new Afinity series chassis and livery, the RoomBox6VX delivers all the features of the RoomBox6, and adds Video Switching capability to all six rooms. Video and audio signals are switched simultaneously, so you can enjoy sound and pictures from all of your home’s media sources in any of six rooms with the tap of a button.

RoomBox4

RoomBox4 is a digital multi-room system distributing six sources to four rooms.
